The ECOVIA network is betting on green economy

Lower Normandy’s eco-technology players have joined forces in order to multiply and to ensure the success of collaborative, innovative and assertive projects. The network is developing around raw materials and natural resources, eco-sourced and eco-produced matter and materials.

Lower Normandy is France’s leading region for the production of shellfish and, every year, some 9,000 tonnes of shells go to waste. It is also the world leader for linen production; however 85% of the exploitation of linen depends on processing on the Chinese market, the future of which is currently unpredictable. Two realities that clearly demonstrate the pertinence of a new economy based on green growth. And the region has a number of assets. With a wealth of raw materials and natural resources and a worthy array of industrial skills and know-how, the eco-technology innovation momentum is already underway in Lower Normandy.
