What regional funding?
7 07 2009The Lower Normandy Regional Council supports research projects via its own co-funding mechanism INTERREG.
The Regional Council has many aims: accompanying Norman research teams during their European integration;
helping them to develop partnerships; contributing to their sphere of influence in terms of both research and innovation and, finally, boosting trans-European cooperation for Lower Normandy. Those eligible to benefit from such support include public research laboratories or private organisations or structures involved in research activities.
In concrete terms, regional support is intended to be complementary: total support for any project may not exceed its eligible cost basis. There are two possible scenarios:
• when the Norman team is in charge of the project, regional support amounts to 20% of total eligible cost, excluding ERDF funding, and is limited to 200,000 Euros per project;
• when the Norman team is a partner in the project, regional support amounts to 10% of total eligible cost, excluding ERDF funding, and is limited to 100,000 Euros per project.
Regional support is, of course, governed by effective ERDF co-funding.
