So what is INTERREG?

INTERREG IV A, B or C?
There is a great diversity of European programmes. Explanations.

In short, Europe offers support for regions via its ERDF fund (European Fund for Regional Development). Within this framework, INTERREG (i.e. inter-regional) programmes have been launched aimed at reinforcing territorial cooperation across Europe. To be eligible, applicants must therefore present projects that are to be conducted with partners located in other European regions, according to the geographical framework defined for each programme. From 2007 to 2013, Lower Normandy (1) is consequently eligible (i.e. it satisfies the geographical criteria) for 4 of these programmes.

(1) A novelty since 2007, the departments of Manche and Calvados are now eligible for the « France (Channel) - England » programme reuniting the French territories stretching from Picardy to Brittany, and the south of England. Orne, which is within an adjacent zone, is also eligible to act as a partner and project leader.
