Operational since 2007, the wood boiler that heats Acome’s industrial site in Mortain (south Manche) is now part of the landscape. And Europe was also there to help.
Renewable energies and, more generally, sustainable development are among tomorrow’s key challenges. Via the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund), the Europe Union is committed to supporting these initiatives. And in Lower Normandy, the State and the Region can help you to prepare your funding applications.
It is the key European funding tool for research. The 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7, or FPRTD) will be funding, up to 2013, excellent European research programmes, selected via themed calls for proposals. Lower Normandy’s researchers and businesses have already passed the test, whilst regional consultancy and coaching services are emerging.
Up to 2013, Lower Normandy is eligible to join INTERREG programmes. The opportunity to develop cooperative projects between European regions is consequently open to the region’s associations, research teams and laboratories, together with, subject to certain conditions, its businesses. For some, action is already underway, whilst others are preparing their projects for validation.
