Last September, in Caen, Laurent Beauvais, President of the Lower Normandy Regional Council and Daniel Guerreau, Managing Director of ENSICAEN, signed a partnership agreement.

This agreement satisfies the Regional Council’s desire to develop research activities, be they fundamental or technological, together with ENSICAEN’s aspiration to benefit from formal, long-term support for both its training and research. And it also satisfies the region’s determination to strengthen its territorial network by improving the balance between its economic needs and its associated training offer. Engineering training through apprenticeship, via the “Mécanique et Génie des Matériaux” (Material Mechanics and Engineering) course, which received validation from the CTI (Engineering Titles Commission) on the 30th of June, is a perfect illustration of such determination
