P9_Logistique.jpgOscia for “integration of social and technical intelligence in the control of the global logistics chain”. The Lower Normandy Regional Council is offering support for regional partners involved in OSCIA via the Nov@log competitiveness cluster.

Via its research themes, the Nov@log competitiveness cluster is currently supporting a number of innovative projects in the logistics field, be they centred on NICT or logistic organisation. The finality of the Oscia project, initiated by Robert Bosch Electronics, is to improve performance in the control of the industrial supply chain by integrating social and technical intelligence.
The project consequently has a triple objective. The first is to devise performance indicators integrating operational, environmental, social and economic dimensions in order to satisfy sustainable development requirements. The second involves the integration of social and organisational intelligence in order to make the best use of the aforementioned technology.
Finally, the project aims at improving logistics flow and, consequently, operational performance through the use of communication and recognition technologies, the development of algorithms for reactive event processing and the elaboration of a flow control model. Oscia is the Nov@log cluster’s first project to benefit from Regional support via funding awarded to a Caen University laboratory (IAE - Business Administration Institute): the NIMEC - Normandie Innovation Management Entreprises Consommation.
This laboratory will be working, in particular, on business assistance and modelling focusing on uncertainty factors, and on the development of indicators aimed at optimising the logistics chain. For the Caen-based laboratory, the project represents a total budget of 289,166 Euros, benefiting from the maximum 80% Regional funding.
