High precision innovative mechanical engineering
What do the aeronautical industry, Formula 1 racing, robotics and nuclear physics have in common? The skill and know-how of AR2P, an SME based in La Ferrière-aux-Etangs, in Orne.

This 15 employee company produces extremely high precision micro-parts (connectors or sensors), capable of resisting in extreme conditions. Small parts (the precision of which is around a few microns) requiring genuine expertise and great technical prowess for industry. “The machining of prototypes or small series titanium, ceramic or stainless steel superalloys for highly specific industry sectors requires more than just know-how,” highlights Serge Pillu, AR2P’s founder. “Machining parts which cannot be found on the market, genuine rare birds, is a true passion. And it’s also a day-to-day challenge.” Curious, inventive, innovative… are the characteristics which best describe this young business leader. Souriau Connection Technologie, Thermocoat, Groupe Gevelot and SPIE Nucléaire are already confident of AR2P’s talent in the field. Concurrently, AR2P designs and produces machine tool mechanical sub-units for its clients (micromoulds, test gauges, mortising units, angle transmission, micro-gearboxes, robot grippers). With its new 1,000m2 unit, pressurised, air-conditioned and entirely tiled, together with the purchase of a digitally controlled interior grinding machine, unique in France, AR2P is now looking to new horizons in sectors such as mechatronics and health.
