PostHuit - 3D communication / Colombelles
6 07 2009
Born from an encounter between a journalist/paste-up artist, a special effects artist and two 2D/3D computer graphics artists, PostHuit is a young audiovisual and synthetic imaging company, recently set up in the Plug’N'Work enterprise zone in Colombelles.
The company offers both businesses and public authorities, clip, video report and advertising film creation, together with event coverage (multi-camera sets for recording or live transmission). It also produces precalculated or real-time 3D photorealistic images. This independent team performs every stage of the production process, “from shooting to post-production, via the integration of virtual features,” explain the four artists. Their project has benefited from support from Synergia, within the framework of its innovative business coaching services (legal and technical assistance, accommodation within a business enterprise zone and 6,000 Euros of funding, just like the winners of the “Innovation Enterprise” competition.) “The company’s innovative aspect lies in its capacity to successfully reunite video contents and 3D, to offer increasingly realistic images.” A water tower that starts dancing, the ruins of a building that are renovated and furnished before your very eyes.
3D modelling offers an infinite range of possibilities for visual communication. PostHuit is targeting the national and international market (products available on a secure server) and has already produced for TV Rennes 35, Les Boréales and the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce and Industry. PostHuit is also involved in the creation of an imaging and virtual reality hub covering Cherbourg, Caen and Saint-Lô.
