National competition :Lower Normandy’s innovation champions

Organised by the Ministry for Higher Education and Research, the results of the 11th national competition for technologically innovative business creation were published recently (171 winners in France).

And here are the three winners for Lower Normandy:
• Milene Guermont (Chemistry and materials category): innovative concrete. Her project involves the creation of an innovative business offering 4 concretes/novel protective processes, comprised of ultra high performance fibrous concrete and taking full advantage of the material’s yet to be discovered properties.
• Pierre Lecanu (Electronics, signals and telecommunications category): innovative urban wind turbines (EUI). EUI is a project initiated by an engineering company working in the field of renewable energy, and aimed at designing, developing and marketing a new generation of wind turbines.
• Fabrice Clerc (Computer science, software and ICT category): development of an innovative detection and reaction solution for computer attacks. The project consists of an innovative offer involving the intelligent reaction to computer attacks and the preservation of service quality and resource availability, by eliminating malevolent intrusions, whilst preserving the flow of and access to legitimate data.
