The SAIC (Industrial and Commercial Activities Service) is a new, shared service at Caen University, created in January 2003.

Positioning itself in between the socio-economic world and the University of Caen Lower Normandy’s research units, the service aims, in particular, at transferring public research results towards the socio-economic community, hence encouraging and facilitating synergy between enterprise and the University. Benoît Véron is the new director and succeeds Lionel Dupret.
