CIMAP’s doctoral students have created “Student Chapters” in partnership with two international organisations: the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the SPIE.

A Student Chapter is an association reuniting doctoral students working on a common theme. This type of association is quite commonplace in English-speaking countries, but is, as yet, relatively unknown in France. The SPIE Chapter is the first of its kind in France. The aim of these Chapters is to promote optical and material sciences via exchanges between students, participation in conferences and a other activities.
