GANIL accelerating partnerships with India
8 06 2010An international Associated Laboratory (IAL) was recently created between the CEA, the CNRS/IN2P3 and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in India (BARC/TIFR).
The creation of the IAL will not only enable the existing Franco-Indian cooperation in nuclear physics to be pursued, it will also open the way for a cooperative agreement for the 2nd generation on-line accelerated radioactive ion beam production system, SPIRAL2. Its creation follows the signature in January 2008 of an initial agreement between Ganil and the BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in India) in the field of accelerators and their associated instrumentation.
