Keolis Calvados, a private supplier of public transport, better known throughout Calvados under the name of Bus Verts, has recently moved to new premises, purchased and developed by the British investment company, Proudreed. The move has reunited both its vehicles and its employees, who previously occupied two sites.

Designed to welcome young businesses from the sector, during either their creation or development phase, the zone reunites complementary nautical projects within a unique site, nearby the town’s Nouveau Bassin. Faurecia’s Mécapolis project will reunite the company’s three production sites, together with its international R&D centre focusing on car seat mechanisms. The Mortainais district is to become a standard in the dissemination of new technologies within rural environments, thanks to the impetus of Acome and its 1,100 employees. Since December 2006, the district is a certified PER - Pôle d’Excellence Rurale (Rural Centre of Excellence), baptised Nove@ and now endowed with an international training centre.
