Lower Normandy’s logistics ambition
Since slightly isolated from major European exchange corridors, Lower Normandy is not logically the ideal territory for developing a logistics sector(1).
Nevertheless, with a total of around 27,000 jobs, it has proven to be an essential activity for the region’s economy, alongside the agri-food and automotive industries.
“Our logistics sector has become a major activity in our region’s economy,” ensures Jean-Yves Geffroy, President of the FCL-BN (Federation of Lower Normandy Logistics Clubs).
“In employment terms, it can even be compared to other thriving sectors such as the agri-food or even the automotive industry.”
